Over the past year, Kaliningrad Regional Customs issued 157 thousand declarations for goods, which is 6% more than in 2016. In automatic mode, more than 28 thousand declarations or 18% of the total number were registered. On Thursday, February 8 at a meeting dedicated to the results of customs work, said the head of the department Alexander Kochnov.

In 2017, cargo turnover increased by 20%, reaching 12.5 million tons. The trade turnover, which amounted to 15.2 billion US dollars, increased by 20%. The federal budget transferred more than 65.3 billion rubles, which is 42% more than in 2016.

The increase of customs duties is associated with the activation of business interests, the fuller implementation of the provisions of the Customs Code by the participants in foreign economic activity, the transition to a new system for the certification of raw materials by residents of the SEZ in the Kaliningrad region.
